Project: Highlands and Islands Unemployed
The ESF, Jobcentre Plus and T3 have developed a package of support for 100 Highlands and Islands residents who are out of work – the duration is not important – and who wish to work in the transport sector but may lack the necessary skills or qualifications.
The project will provide applicants with any skills necessary to secure a job and also provide support in job seeking and securing work.
The project has been designed to meet the unemployed trainees social as well as skills needs.
Training delivery will take place to ensure family and jobseekers allowances are not adversely affected.
Employers will be supported by T3 and the Project partners (Jobcentre Plus, Awards UK, Skills for Logistics, Road Haulage Association) to integrate these new employees and new skills into their company forward plans.
Trainees can access this programme by contacting T3 or their local Jobcentre Plus office to arrange an entry interview.
