Project: National Rural Exclusion
This project provides training and employment opportunities for 300 unemployed residents in Rural Scotland.
Training encompasses all skills sought by logistics employers, likely to improve the jobs prospects of residents in rural and urban communities in Scotland. It targets training delivery at those who wish, after training, to apply for the skilled vacancies available.
The project will provide training and career advice, identify job opportunities, the skills necessary to secure such jobs and arrange for training to be delivered. During the training process, project staff will liaise with employers to ensure the job skills opportunities are maximised and matched to their business needs.
Transport Training Trust has established a project partnership designed to take advantage of the wide range of expertise there is in the sector of Scotland. The partnership includes Skills for Logistics, Awards UK and of course a wide cross section of employers and training providers.
